Frappato is a red grape grown mainly in Sicily, producing light, fragrant wines. The Mandrarossa Frappato is a very fine example. Its heady, spicy, rose petal fragrance and crisp, cool drinkability are delightful. Lots of crunchy red fruit of the pomegranate, cherry and cranberry kind provide ideal refreshment in a style of wine that could be said to be akin to beaujolais - the kind of wine that disappears from the glass all too quickly. We recommend drinking it at a cool (not cold) temperature to see it at its very best.
