About this product

Cantina di Montalcino was founded in 1970 and it is the only cooperative winery in the Brunello area. Today it counts 94 members, small farms that treat about 160 hectares of vineyards, on average less than 2 hectares each, located between 120 and 650 meters above sea level. They are small growers: they produce quality grapes for a total of about 76,000 bottles including Rosso di Montalcino DOC, Brunello di Montalcino DOCG and Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva. They work with care and dedication.
Rosso is the second most important denomination of Montalcino. Very elegant Sangiovese, young and immediate, but also to be kept for a few years. This wonderful Rosso di Montalcino goes perfectly with first courses, with meat sauces or savoury cured meats.
