The fruit was destemmed to a static fermenter and inoculated immediately with a Bordeaux yeast strain. The wines were fermented on skins to dryness at a maximum of 28°C and pressed after 15 days. The wine was racked to barrel for Malolactic fermentation and was then matured for 12 months in French oak barriques.

Medium bodied red wines have a lightly textured mouthfeel with moderate flavour impact. Often medium in colour.

Matured for 12 months in French oak (15% new). Savoury mulberry, bitter cocoa, charcuterie and fig. On the palate it has a minerality that verges on metallic, overtaking most of the other characters. The tannins are also surprisingly assertive, the lasting impression.
