The wines were pumped over twice daily from the tanks. The wine was fermented to dryness on skins and pressed after ten days to help keep fruit vibrancy. The wine completed malolactic fermentation in barrel and matured for ten months in 30% new French barriques. No fining was used for this Shiraz.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.

This is terrific; the perfumed bouquet shows black/blueberry, violet, cedar and smoked game characters with a hint of dried herb complexity. It's wonderfully concentrated and weighted on the palate, exhibiting excellent depth and rich texture, brilliantly supported by loads of polished tannins. Opulent yet sturdy and structured. At its best: 2023 to 2034.

10 months in French oak (33% new). Epic colour in the glass, makes you peer in to have a closer look. The nose is all about black pepper, biltong, raspberry bramble and blackberry. The palate does not disappoint – bright fruit, intensely juicy, but not overdone. Nice work.
