About this product

The Sacchetto family’s Mille Bolle Pinot Grigio is a light crisp white wine with attractive pear skin, white apricot, tonic water aromas, mouth filling pear, stone fruit flavours supple creamy textures and persistent refreshing acidity. Controlled cool fermentation in stainless steel fermenters results in superb definition and freshness. The pinot grigio (pinot gris) fruit is sourced from vineyards around the enormous Delle Venezie region of North-East Italy. The Sachetto family has been making wine since the 1920s and flourished in Italy’s postwar boom by producing fresh animated wines with plenty of flavour and definition. Next generation Paolo and Beatrice engage traditional vineyard techniques, modern technology and new outlooks to maintain their reputation as a leading producer. Their father Filiberto Sachetto says "Living in so much tradition is a challenge, but living it and showing it to the world is the foundation of our passion and work." The refreshing Mille Bolle Pinot Grigio Delle Venezie works well as an aperitif wine or enjoy with caprese salad, chicken or veal parmigiana, pan seared white fish or a hard Italian cheese like Reggiano or Parmesan.
