Kendall Jackson Vintner’s Reserve Chardonnay is an enduring symbol of the chardonnay revolution and has a history going back nearly fifty years with the establishment of cool-climate vineyards on California’s Central Coast. The style has been refined over the years but the essence remains the same. The wine is typically richly flavoured and supple with fresh white peach nectarine grilled nut aromas, lovely mid-palate creaminess, underlying vanilla toasted hazelnut notes and long fresh integrated acidity. This Californian style is ample yet minerally with attractive fruit sweetness. Barrel ferment characters and French oak maturation give the wine an extra layer of complexity and fine lacy textures. This is a great retro-modern style that will appeal to drinkers who like volume, flavour, oak, freshness and balance! Pair with grilled fish or prawns, roast chicken, mushroom risotto or vegetable terrine.
