About this product

The Grivot family originated from the Jura region and were growing vines as early as the mid 17th Century. Just before the French Revolution, the family moved to Vosne-Romanée. This is 100% Vosne-Romanée blanc from next to 1er cru Clos des Reas, but with no appelation for white, this has to be labelled as Bourgogne. This is Grivot's only white, and it's made in a non-interventionist, reductive way and totally barrel fermented. Very little stirring of lees and very much just left alone, apart from regular topping up. It's rich and full, yet it has a fine balance with great acidity and minerality. Very powerful and Puligny-like.
