The Grivot family originated from the Jura region and were growing vines as early as the mid 17th Century. Just before the French Revolution, the family moved to Vosne-Romanée. The 2017 Vosne-Romanée Village has a pleasant bouquet of raspberry and crushed strawberry tinged with fig, the 15% new oak lending a little more presence. The balanced, natural palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannin, displaying a fine thread of acidity from start to finish and offering flavors of juicy red cherry, raspberry and vervain tea. There is impressive length here.
