About this product

The Grivot family originated from the Jura region and were growing vines as early as the mid 17th Century. Just before the French Revolution, the family moved to Vosne-Romanée. The 2017 Vosne-Romanée Les Chaumes 1er Cru, which Etienne Grivot described as "a more serious wine nowadays," has a very focused, quite intense bouquet of raspberry, cranberry, sous-bois and Earl Grey aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannin, a little angular in style, but full of freshness, and quite energetic toward the finish, showing touches of blood orange on the aftertaste.
