KrondorfSingle Site Moculta Shiraz 2019
About this product
Our Single Site Series is a celebration of the diversity we see within the varied Barossa terroirs. It allows our talented Head Winemaker, Nick Badrice, to work with small plots of vineyards within some of the most renowned and unique sites around the valley. His aim is to show us the nuances that the soil profiles and microclimates have upon the resultant wines.
This is a wonderfully layered wine that shows perfectly site and varietal topicity. Satsuma and black fruits drift from the glass, with a salty bitumen component, coming together with inky opulence. Espresso notes dance on the back palate, balanced beautifully with violets and plums. Elegantly structured, it is a wine which is both complex but enjoyably approachable. Evolves in the glass, and will benefit from decanting.
