Artisans of BarossaBarrel Blend Grenache
About this product
147370 Artisans of Barossa Small Batch Graciano This is a very exciting wine for me - brooding blueberry, lifted sour cherry and a hint of pastrami aromas on the nose, a richly concentrated and rounded mid-palate framed with focused acidity and freshness. And whilst the variety is renowned for producing age worthy wines, I’d recommend enjoying this as a young wine when the fruits are bright and fresh.” Corey Ryan.

Not over-wrought or alcoholic, nor is it light and airy, rather this attractive version occupies the middle ground of grenache style - succulent fruit, balanced, and with excellent complexity. A bright, 21st century kind of Barossan grenache, complete with flavours of blue fruit, early season red fruit, and lightly spiced compote. Dan’s Wine Panel co-ordinator, and noted grenache fan, Gary Braidner, suggests this would be ideal with a charcuterie and cheese platter.

Rich and brooding, the wine shows blackberry, blueberry, clove and roasted hazelnut characters on the nose with a light dusting of dark cocoa. It’s wonderfully weighted and generously textured on the palate delivering terrific fruit intensity together with fleshy texture and polished tannins, finishing splendidly long and pleasingly dry. At its best: now to 2033
