Medium deep, dark cherry in colour. Lifting fragrant aromas of strawberry, raspberry jujube, rose petal, lavender, cinnamon and star anise. Flavours of dark cherry, pomegranate and chocolate earth flow through the medium weight palate. Fine tannins and natural acidity focus the fruit into the moreish, savoury finish.

This is good drinking for the price. Ample fruit that one expects from region and variety, but better, a thrust of real tannins that coat the side of the tongue. A bit of whole-bunch, surely. These obviate any sense of sweetness or excess. Notes of Chinotto, dark cherry, raspberry bon-bon and thyme. Drink this juicy mid weighter on the cooler side.
