Mataro in Oz, Mourvedre in France, Monastrell in Spain. Whatever the name, this is an attractive version. Organically grown grapes have been allowed to ripen fully providing a burst of juicy blue and black fruit before settling into a rounded middle-weight displaying earthy, spicy black cherry fruit with a hint of violet florals. A very accessible, versatile red.
