38 Year Old 1972 Cask 718 Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700mL

Each year Master Distiller, Billy Walker, specially selects a handful of individual casks from the warehouse at Glendronach Distillery, to be bottled as GlenDronach 'Limited Release'. With maturing whiskies dating back as far as 1968, there is a vast selection of barrels, hogsheads, puncheons and butts to choose from. Each of these casks displays truly remarkable characteristics, the malt whisky contained within having developed exceptionally during the long maturation process. Individually numbered by hand, each vintage release is an exclusive one-off, with only a limited number of bottles available.
Oloroso Sherry Butt Cask 718.
Nose: Massive concentration of aged Oloroso combines with a unique herbaceous note. Chocolate coated citrus fruits with a sublime chocolate sauce reduction.
Appearance:: Slightly opaque with rich walnut core and a russet brown edge. Very Dark.
Palate: Elegant fruity and long. A tremendous concoction of sweet stewed fruits, nuts and chocolate. Fine old Oloroso notes with terrific balance and acidity create excellent depth and definition.
