The Barossa is renowned for the quality of its Semillon and its continental climate of warm days and cool nights suits the variety. Timing of picking for Semillon is crucial to making a fresh and vibrant wine. The Semillon grapes were picked with grassy flavours and good acidity. The resulting wine has lifted honeysuckle and citrus notes on the nose. The palate is wonderfully flavoured with citrus and melon flavours and a hint of struck flint complexity. With age the honey characters, just evident, will increase, as will the richness and fullness. The essential bright acidity balances the palate and gives the wine great line and length.
