This is Rocky speaking from his heart. It's powerful but pure, slight roughness around the edges certain to smooth out to velvet with 5-10 years more in bottle. It is what it is, needing no apology, especially to those Rockford devotees with multiple vintages of his core red wines (this and the Shiraz) in their cellars stretching back 20-30 years. '15 was a great vintage, and Rockford shot the bullseye.
