40 Year Old 1971 Cask 1436 Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700mL

Each year Master Distiller, Billy Walker, specially selects a handful of individual casks from the warehouse at Glendronach Distillery, to be bottled as Glendronach 'Limited Release'. With maturing whiskies dating back as far as 1968, there is a vast selection of barrels, hogsheads, puncheons and butts to choose from. Each of these casks displays truly remarkable characteristics, the malt whisky contained within having developed exceptionally during the long maturation process. Individually numbered by hand, each vintage release is an exclusive one-off, with only a limited number of bottles available.

Nose: Spice and full of life. A basket of freshly picked brambles and raspberries. Hige coffee and roasted walnut structure.
Appearance: Crimson 'King Maple Leaves' on an Autumn woodland floor.
Palate: Powerful and full flavoured. Nuts, chocolate and dried Mediterranean fruits including figs, dates and sweet raisins.
