We all like to support the little guy but credit where credit is due - this is a remarkably good chardonnay for the price. For any price, for that matter. It's richly-flavoured, nicely persistent, well balanced and seductive. All at a bargain price. Nectarine, grapefruit, and malty oak are the main offerings flavour-wise but there are highlights of yeast and spice too. Nothing's held back here. It's rich but lengthy.

From South Australia. Partial fermentation and maturation for 9 months in older French oak hogsheads and puncheons. Medium straw hue. White peach fruit and tropical suggestions contrast lactic mlf notes and cashew nut French oak. Accurately made to a price point, albeit without the verve and grace of greatness.
