About this product

Côtes de Bordeaux is a Bordeaux appellation that was upgraded early in the new century, and Château Réaut is a recently upgraded property. Beginning in 2004, new owners have completely replanted the 26ha estate, formerly known as Réaut la Graviére, taking full advantage of south-facing hillsides above the Garonne River with excellent, deep, gravelly, clay and limestone soils. The vines, 58% Merlot, 37% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc, are close-planted (5500 vines per hectare) so as to reduce yields and improve flavour intensity. The first ‘new’ Château Réaut was the 2009.
