One of the great family wine dynasties, the Henschkes are custodians of some of Australia’s greatest single vineyards. Fifth generation, Stephen and his wife Prue have built upon the experience of previous generations, reinvigorating the vineyard and winery. In the process they have established themselves as a veritable first family of Australian wine. Stephen a trained biochemist is the winemaker and wife Prue the viticulturist. Over the years, Prue`s meticulous research and experimentation together with a commitment to organic and biodynamic viticulture have breathed new life into the vineyards. Best known as custodians of Australia’s greatest single vineyard wine Henschke Hill of Grace Shiraz, Henschke also produces a portfolio of compelling premium wines displaying the Henschke signature of fruit purity and elegance.
