About this product

The Premier Cru terroirs of Les Suchots divide the Echézeaux Grand Cru plots from those of the Vosne-Romanée, a stone’s throw to the south. Here, in this part of the world, Pinot Noir achieves it zenith, at least in the eyes (indeed all senses) of Burgundy obsessives. At Domaine Confuron-Cotetidot organic practices come by way of tradition rather than the usual born-again idea than ‘if it was good enough for my grand-père…’ and so on. The wine itself see very little piégeage and more time on oak than many others (18-24 months). What results is the finest of the Domaine’s Grand Crus, unlike the weightier Vougeots and Chambertins. The Confuron-Cotetidot Echézeaux Grand Cru is dreamily aromatic and perfectly cut on the palate, not a stitch out of place.
