Domaine de La Pousse d'OrChambolle-Musigny Les Groseilles 1er Cru 2017
About this product
Domaine de la Pousse d’Or was established in Volnay 1954. However, some of its vineyards can be traced back to the year 1100 and the Dukes of Burgundy. Yet further still, some of the wines were recorded in the 4th century. The Domaine’s attention to detail and dedication to organic viticulture (the estate is not certified but has followed organic principles for years) is serious. Vineyards are cared for without the use of pesticides or herbicides and are regularly ploughed. Grapes are harvested and sorted by hand, and bunches are destemmed and fermented on indigenous yeasts in temperature-controlled tanks. Wines are aged from 15 to 18 months in French oak barrels, with between 30 to 50 per cent new wood, depending on the vintage.

Vintage 2017
90 points Burghound
A fresh, cool and restrained nose requires aggressive swirling to liberate the red currant, lilac and rose petal-suffused aromas. There is a caressing mouth feel to the delicious, vibrant and refined medium-bodied flavors that conclude in a youthfully austere and persistent finish.
