Vintage 2016
90 points Burghound
Generous amounts of wood and menthol do fight with the black pinot fruit liqueur-like aromas. This is exceptionally dense with impressive amounts of dry extract that impart a velvety mouth feel to the opulent finish where a hint of bitter cherry pit arises. This is also extremely ripe and while it's not jammy, it's close. I would suggest this more for those who enjoy super-rich and lavishly wooded burgundies and while it certainly has the material to age, it should drink well almost immediately.
