Domaine Rijckaert
Arbois Chardonnay

About this product

Some of the best value chardonnays in France can be found in the region of Jura. Melon d’Arbois is the local name for Chardonnay, Arbois being a principal city in the Jura region. Chardonnay now accounts for nearly 45% of production as its tendency toward early ripening and naturally higher sugar levels are desired.  “I make my Jura wine like I make the ones from Burgundy," states Domaine Rijckaert winemaker, Florent Rouve, who also produces chardonnay in the Mâconnais. The 2018 vintage produced a chardonnay of breeding, structure and restrained power. White flowers, white fruit, a gorgeous yellow colour, with fleshy generosity, yet retaining tension and control.
