Gabriel MeffreVentoux
About this product
The wine is made from grenache and syrah, each component vinified separately before blending, then maturation in vats for 10 months.
The result is a wine with a deep red robe and a purple hue. The nose is enticing with hints of ripe red fruits and spices, and the mouth is elegant and round with a spicy finish.
This Ventoux, with its spiciness and fruit expression, will pair nicely with charcuterie, a vegetable curry or lamb colombo.

Upon opening it's the ripe red fruits that announce themselves. Rustic, fruit of the forest berries with a light spice and earthiness. As the bottle empties an attractive underlying savouriness emerges so that the last sips are the best. So, perhaps a half hour to breathe might be best. From the famed Ventoux area (to cyclists, especially), this is medium bodied, well crafted, and with dried herb and pine needle notes to complement that initial burst of fruit. Very typical of the appellation and great value!
