Honey Moon VineyardAdelaide Hills Shiraz
About this product
Honey Moon Vineyard began back in 2005 when Jane Bromley and Hylton McLean planted small parcels of Pinot Noir and Shiraz in the Adelaide Hills. Due to being struck by the overpowering presence of the moon during harvest, the wines were named after it.
This is a single vineyard, cool-climate Adelaide Hills shiraz that shows a complex array of summer fruits, pepper spice and subtle perfume of French oak. The palate is lively and smooth, and the finish fragrant and complex.

This hides its bolshie alcohol beneath a well-clad veneer of whole-cluster spike and abundant oak, perhaps too much. The genetics of the fruit are very good: lilac, Japanese nori, blueberry and a thread of cracked pepper acidity. Just a bit OTT.
