First Creek Wines is a family owned and operated winery based in the Hunter Valley, Australia's oldest wine producing region. The talented family of winemakers comprises of Liz, Shaun and Greg Silkman whose emphasis on careful fruit selection and rigorous attention to detail. Small parcels of fruit were crushed and fermented in 2 - 4 tonne batches. After pressing, the wine was aged in French oak hogsheads and puncheons to enhance the fruit tannins. Generous, mouth filling, lovely toasty oak layered with rich blue fruits and mocha spice.
