This is a beauty. There's a lot more complexity in this petit chablis than is seen in most. The attractive green cat's eye gleam emerges from within the gold colour of the wine in a very "chablisienne" way. More textural than you would expect, and with greater richness and complex quality, it delivers a melange of fruit flavours such as stonefruit, quince and custard apple. At the same time there is an under-pinning element of minerality which lends an inner strength. Jean-Marc Brocard wines are always worth seeking out.
