Frescobaldi Nipozzano Riserva is a wine that needs no introduction to long-time followers of chianti. It is one of the leading wines of the region, with an outstanding reputation. The wine is from the elevated Rufina sub region to the north west of Florence, thus a wine of greater than usual elegance, aroma, drive and purity. Fine and refined, the nose evokes memories of savoury cherries, dried herbs, tobacco, and earth. In the mouth elegance is the key word. Balanced and fresh with flavours of savoury red fruit, the clean acidity provides a perfect match for tomato-based dishes. A benchmark wine in the world of chianti.
