Pavelot FrèresSavigny-Les-Beaune 2015
About this product
A notably ripe nose combines notes of plum, violet, earth and a hint spice. There is both good energy and delineation to the polished, delicious and relatively refined middle weight flavours that possess fine depth and sneaky good length. This is sufficiently forward that it should drink well young.Allen Meadows (Burghound), Issue 66

Vintage 2015
92 points
Savigny les Beaune reds are typically solid citizens with richness of flavour, but without the ultimate finesse of more famous appellations. The 2015 Pavelot Freres typifies the local style, but at the upper end of the quality scale. The vintage was very kind, and there's a warmth and richness to this one that may not occur every year. Our notes read, "Roasted beetroot, earthiness, ripeness from a good year, earthy notes, authentic fleshy burgundian flavours, nice acid tang and very good balance. A fairly sturdy red that would stand up to charcouterie. " All up - an affordable authentic burgundian experience.
