We've found one here. It's pure, juicy, well shaped and highly enjoyable to drink. Currants and associated berries, cloves, violets and a smidgen of dark chocolate. Oak isn't a player; fresh fruit is, though the sinewy aspect to the tannin here gives it a keen varietal authenticity. Excellent buying and drinking.

Bang for buck, lively and rich red wine. Big perfume and flavour of rich, blackcurrant, maraschino cherry, nougat and coconut with a dash of minty herbs in the mix. Sloshy texture with sweet, palate grabbing tannins and a mocha-laden finish rolls out with decent length. Charming and easy access. 14.5%
