About this product

Grange, by Australia's most famous winery, Penfolds began life with humble beginnings in the early 1950s and has become the icon it is today. Penfolds Grange is engrained into the wine psyche of wine lovers across the world. The vision of Max Schubert has borne an Australian legend that is officially listed as a Heritage Icon of South Australia. A multi-regional masterpiece that shows power, concentration and balance to showcase the very best in Australian wine. This 1954 Grange, while still alive, might be considered more of a collectors item. Aromas of sandalwood, fig and earth are still evident with palate that leans to meaty flavours with a touch of amontillado showing. An elegant palate nonetheless with some sweetness of fruit and a minerally, smoky finish. Very rare.
