BendbrookGoat Track Adelaide Hills Shiraz
About this product
A rich, well-balanced, single Vineyard shiraz from individually selected bunches, made with partial whole-berry fermentation to enhance softness and complexity. The wine is named after the nickname given to the very steep vineyard by the grape pickers. There are no goats there but they claim only goats can climb it.
At a vineyard altitude of 400 metres above sea level the Adelaide Hills allows grapes to develop to full ripeness while retaining fresh cool-climate acidity and elegance.

Estate-grown on an extreme slope, matured in new and used (no percentages given) French oak for 12 months. It's still very youthful, and very well balanced, its red and black cherry fruits accompanied by spice and pepper. The colour, and the finely wrought tannins suggest a long life ahead, even though there's no improvement needed.
