An instantaneous hit of red berry and violet aromas greet you upon unscrewing the cap. The colour is holding very well - garnet with a faint vestige of purple. Wynn's reds, even the lower end ones, always benefit from a few years in the cellar. When you step up to this level the benefits of cellaring are even more obvious. The body is medium, the spicy black fruited flavours are intense and long, and very well balanced. The wine has style. Rounded and satin textured, this is clearly from a very good year. There's no hurry to consume the 2015, greater improvement is to be had.
