A breathtaking, supersonic tour de force that beautifully commands the historic Grange pedigree. Presenting an impenetrable deep crimson-purple hue, it displays an immense, complex nose marked by traditional lifting VA, iron, hoisin, five-spice, and cracked pepper. The palate is a dense, opulent black hole of flavour that drives relentlessly from end to end—packed with pure dark berries, ripe plums, and savoury beef stock notes. The premium oak is already perfectly soaked into its dark, brooding layers. Enlivened by velvety, silky tannins and supple fruit weight, its monumental finish resonates for minutes. Magnificently powerful.

Is Penfolds Grange worth the hype?
Few wines are as iconic as Penfolds Grange, the famous Australian shiraz. First made in 1951 – and then in secret for several years (it's a pretty cool story) – this wine is made with the finest fruit from various South Australian regions. It's built to evolve over many decades, but, as chief winemaker Peter Gago says, Grange is also incredible on release. "A young Grange is vibrant, energetic and full of primary fruit. A mature Grange becomes more complex and layered over time.
