The epitome of modern Australian Grenache. There's a lightness of touch, but no shortage of the layers of flavour we seek in Grenache. The irony is that this modern style has been produced from such ancient vines. A nose of exotically spiced fruit and perfumed flowers draws you in, then the light, sweet, red fruit excitement takes over. Almost fragile, more like delicate and poised - not simple - layers and depth are there to be found as the wine unfolds in the glass.

An evocative, indeed perfumed, wine that speaks in a loud voice of its place in the world of grenache. McLaren Vale makes things very difficult for its competitors in the bush-vine grenache game; this is a fragrant and superbly balanced wine, a melting pot of all things red.
