Good Argentinian malbec hardly needs extra colour or flavour, so the addition of 10% petit verdot seems curious. But, it works. Apart from adding even greater colour and depth of flavour, the PV component adds an element of violet and dark plum to a wine that carries with it succulent, saturating mulberry and black cherry flavours. The use of French oak delivers a smoothing vanilla finish. A very complete, full-flavoured, balanced package.
