Finca CarelioTempranillo
About this product
This is a classic example of elegant, oak aged Spanish red wine, made from the famous Tempranillo variety. On display are ripe berry aromas, which are typical for the variety, and a beautiful, pleasingly complex bouquet, with hints of leather, spice and vanilla. Dry and full bodied, it shows remarkable freshness for its age and boasts a round, velvety texture, as well as great length with a slightly mineral finish. It's a wine that "grows in the glass", developing layers of complexity over time. A versatile food wine, great with meat pies, stews and grilled meat, but also simply with good ham, cheese, bread and olive oil. Ready to drink, but will keep well for three to five years.

Vintage 2017
93 points Dan Murphy's Wine Panel
Old vine flavour intensity, excellent oak maturation and a smooth finish are the initial highlights of the 2017 vintage. Ripe berries, freshness, earthy cola notes, spices, leather and mocha oak notes all play a role. It’s not a big style of wine, more medium bodied, but packed with flavour and successfully combines elements of rusticity with velvety elegance. This will be great with grilled meat.
