Domaine de la CollineChinon Cabernet Franc
About this product
Domaine de la Colline has been run since 1991 by Philippe Richard and today extends to six and a half hectares, planted exclusively to the Cabernet Franc grape variety.
In its first flush of youth, the delightful Chinon produced on the property is fruity, reminiscent of the aromas of red berries, wild strawberries and the perfume of violets. In the mouth the wine is lightly tannic, typical of the Cabernet Franc grape variety, but the wine grows rounder with age. A delightful expression of AOC Chinon, and one to match with grilled meat or soft cheese.

Exuberant, supple and succulent with generous black cherry tones, truffle-like earthy notes, wild herb and chewy, undemanding tannins. The finish is long and juicy. No oak here. It's all about the succulence of the fruit. This is a good example of cabernet franc from beautiful Chinon.
