Grab a bottle of this juicy Bourgueil (boor-guy), a couple of glasses, a hamper of food and head to your favourite picnic spot - even better if it’s by the banks of Loire River! This is the kind of smashable, light red that’s so popular in bistros and brasseries across France, especially Paris. Consumed slightly chilled, it reveals notes of violets, cherries, cranberries, classic cab franc “bubblegum” and an earthy, smooth finish. Totally refreshing, it’s almost too easy to drink!
