Famille Bougrier is known today as one of the last family owned companies covering the whole Loire Valley, from Muscadet to Sancerre. The label instructs us this wine is best paired with a BBQ, and I totally agree. Very savory, woody, capsicum spice, a little smoky. No long lasting finish but the flavor is front and center. Very different and unique, but utterly drinkable
