A Long History of Producing Port Our Own Way
Founded in 1815, Cockburn's has a long history of doing things our own way: Reviving the once-forgotten Touriga Nacional grape, unlocking the potential of the Upper Douro, andlaunching our Special Reserve, which bridged the gap between rare vintage port and ruby port,and being the last producer in the port trade to have an in-house team of coopers to maintainour old oak vats and casks at our port lodge in Vila Nova de Gaia.In the years gone by, Port may have been a drink only for formal dinners or Christmas feasts.But today, Cockburn’s is taking a stand against Port’s not-so-approachable past.
