How do I opt out of Web Browser Notifications?

Dan Murphy’s might send you push notifications via your web browser to keep you updated on offers that match your tastes and preferences. You’ll see a prompt in your browser asking you to allow them. You can opt out of these messages at any time by following the instructions for your browser below.

 

Chrome:

  1. Open Chrome on your computer.
  2. At the top right, click More and then Settings.
  3. Click Privacy and security and then Site Settings. 
  4. Click Notifications.
  5. You can choose to block or allow notifications:

To Block a site enter the site next to "Block" and click Add.

To Allow a site enter the site next to "Allow" and click Add.

Allow quieter notification prompts: click Use quieter messaging which blocks notification prompts from interrupting you.

 

Safari:

  1. Choose the Apple menu on your Mac
  2. Choose System Settings
  3. Click Notifications in the sidebar
  4. Go to Application Notifications on the right
  5. Click the website
  6. Turn off Allow Notifications

 

Microsoft Edge:

  1. Go to Settings and more in the upper right corner of the Edge browser window.
  2. Select Settings and then Cookies and site permissions 
  3. Select Notifications
  4. Under Allow, you’ll see a list of websites that currently send you notifications.
  5. Select the three dots next to the website you want to stop receiving notifications from.
  6. Select Remove (if you visit the website in the future it will ask if you want to allow notifications again), or Block (stops the website from sending you notifications).

 

Other browsers:

  1. Find your browser settings.
  2. Select Notifications
  3. Find the relevant Notification. 
  4. Select Off.
