‘Russell’ is a name synonymous with quality when it comes to bourbon whiskey. At Wild Turkey, the Russell legacy began with Eddie’s father Jimmy Russell, who is the world’s longest-tenured active master distiller. It was in 2015 that Jimmy’s son Eddie took the reigns as master distiller at Wild Turkey. The following year Wild Turkey joined forces with Matthew McConaughey, who signed onto a multi-year partnership as the brand’s Creative Director.
Wild Turkey Longbranch comes in a bottle bearing the names of both Matthew McConaughey and Eddie Russell. It is a bourbon refined through a unique filtration process using Texas Mesquite and oak charcoals and features flavours of caramel, pear and hints of citrus round out the palate. The subtle smoky finish is smooth, with notes of gentle pepper and toasted oak.
