Holding a bottle of Zonzo's Roro Apertivo Spritz

There’s a new Spritz in town. Just add disco.

Our mates over at Zonzo Estate have been working on something very special and it’s finally ready to pop, right in time for end-of-year celebrations. Let us introduce you to your new favourite Spritz – RoRo. You probably know (and love) RoRo’s spritzy siblings: Zoncello, Cicchio and Bellina. But the newest member of the Zonzo family is a little bit darker and spicier, and it might just be our favourite (but don’t tell the others).

So, what does RoRo taste like? It’s a bright, fruit-forward Spritz – think Negroni with the bittersweet flavours of Chinotto (AKA Italian cola) and blood orange. It sounds pretty bloody refreshing, doesn’t it?

It might have been made in Melbourne, but RoRo has been inspired by the Italo-disco era – an electronic dance music genre that originated in Italy in the late ’70s and had people dancing well into the ’80s. Hot tip: You can only get your hands on RoRo at Dan’s, so what are you waiting for? Grab a bottle and let’s dance.

How to serve RoRoPull out the old fashioned glasses because RoRo is screaming to be chilled and served over a large ice cube or two. Garnish with a dehydrated orange wheel (a fresh wedge will also work).
Where to take RoRoHow about your backyard? RoRo was made for sharing with friends – for those afternoon drinks that turn into a dinner dance party (fun fact: the Rs on the RoRo label are upside down dancing shoes). Just make sure you buy a back-up bottle of RoRo.
What to eat with RoRoAl fresco drinks call for OTT cheese and charcuterie boards for grazing all afternoon. But the dinner dance party? That calls for pizza. Home-made in the woodfired oven or calling for delivery? Well, that’s up to you.
What to listen to drinking RoRo

You know we love a theme, so grab the speaker. The song to get the vibes going? ‘Sarà perché ti amo’ by Ricchi e Poveri (if you don’t know it, trust us, it’s a serious banger). Then, hit set and forget on Spotify’s Italian Disco Mix playlist.

What to watch if you’re staying inJust because we’re staying in doesn’t mean we can’t go to Italy. In the mood for a classic? We reckon RoRo pairs pretty well with a screening of Roman Holiday. Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn? A reporter and a princess? We’re sold.
