ZERO%* by Dan Murphy’s is the hottest pop-up bar in town – and it doesn't sell any alcohol.
Update: ZERO%* bar pop-up bar has ended
If you’re a non-drinker, cutting back or taking a break from drinking, going to a bar used to feel a bit… how do we put this… lacklustre. You had to choose between a plain soda water or some fruity mocktail that’s basically a kilo of sugar, while the drinkers got handed a phonebook-sized menu of alcoholic bevvies. Or worse, the bartender pulled out a non-alcoholic wine they’ve had at the back of the fridge for over 10 years (and not in the good, well-aged kind of way).
These days it’s wildly different thanks to the meteoric rise of not just decent but actually delicious non-alcoholic drinks. From beers, wines, cocktails, and even spirits, zero alc options are now so good you won’t notice the difference between them and their alcoholic counterparts. In our opinion, a good drink is a good drink – regardless of alcohol content. And that’s why we’re launching ZERO% by Dan Murphy’s, a brand new pop-up bar that’s focused on pouring the very best non-alc drinks.
Now open in Melbourne’s breezy bayside suburb of Hampton (at 470 Hampton St, to be exact), ZERO% by Dan Murphy’s is all about spotlighting non-alc choices and whipping up bespoke cocktails. And when we say bespoke we mean it – we’ve developed a menu that’ll be the envy of every mixologist in town. You and your mates can kick back and enjoy a Nah Groni (a non-alc negroni), a refreshing Cucumber Mojito, or a Blood Orange Spritz, to name a few.
There really is something for everyone at ZERO% by Dan Murphy’s. And once you’ve gotten a taste for your new alcohol-free favourite, you can pop down to the boutique retail space at the back of the bar and grab a bottle to take home.
Whether it’s the local pub, the hole-in-the-wall wine bar, the grungy music venue, or any other kind of bar – they’re all special in their own way as places for meeting friends, creating memories, or treating yourself. And now everybody can enjoy that experience, while raising a non-alcoholic glass, of course.
