Because a good drink is a good drink – regardless of alcohol content.

No alcohol? No worries! It used to be soul-crushing trying to find a zero%* drink that didn’t taste like cordial, but these days it’s never been easier. Zero%* drinks keep getting better and better, with small producers and industry stalwarts all getting onboard, crafting delicious drops minus the alcohol (no more than 0.5%, to be exact).

How do they do it? By treating zero%* options with just as much integrity as the regular alcoholic options. Because the truth is, a good drink is a good drink – regardless of alcohol content. Booze-free beer, no-alc wine, soft cider, mocktails, or an alcohol-free spirit – whatever you’re into, there’s now a zero%* bev that rivals the alcoholic stuff in quality and flavour.

It was hard to choose, but below you’ll find just a few of our current faves… Well, today’s favourites anyway.

1. Brown Brothers Prosecco Ultra Low

The perfect zero%* picnic wine does exist and it’s this bubbly prosecco from Australian wine legends Brown Brothers. If you think most non-alcoholic wines are too sweet then you’ll find solace in the dryness of this prosecco. It’s a traditional Italian-style sparkling that’s lively, crisp, and has the added bonus of being low in sugar and calories. And it goes down a treat in a spritz too!

2. Lyre's Non-Alcoholic Italian Spritz

Speaking of spritz, non-alcoholic distillery Lyre’s heard your call for an alcohol-free version and created this delicious Italian spritz aperitif. They’ve managed to capture the classic Italian flavour of aperitifs like Aperol, but with zero alcohol content. Now don't go thinking this is a cheap imitation, instead Lyre have worked hard to create their own unique spin on the bitter orange and complex flavours that you’d expect.

3. Lautus De-Alcoholised Savvy Rosé

It’s not easy to find a rosé that strikes the right balance between not too dry and not overly sweet – let alone one that’s only 0.5% alcohol. That’s where Lautus comes in with their De-Alcoholised Savvy Rosé, a slightly sweet and floral wine that avoids being a total sugar bomb. A wine you can enjoy AND enjoy responsibly.

4. Gordon’s 0%

Gordon’s knows gin like nobody else, which means they also know botanicals like nobody else. All of that knowledge is exactly how they managed to pull off Gordon’s 0%, an alcohol-free spirit that’s complex and flavourful. 0% is crafted with the same finely distilled botanicals that made their London Dry Gin a household name and that’s exactly why it’s the best substitute for whipping up a non-alcoholic G&T.

5. Great Northern Zero

Let’s be honest, a bad zero alc beer can taste like wet cardboard. Thankfully, the legends up at Great Northern relentlessly developed their Zero lager to ensure it was nothing like that. And boy did they pull it off. In Zero they’ve created a golden-hued beer that’s clean, crisp and genuinely passes the does-this-taste-like-regular-beer test.

6. Monday Distillery Non-Alcoholic Paloma

Independent Australian distillery Monday are quietly revolutionising zero%* drinks, and their Non-Alcoholic Paloma is no exception. Don’t be fooled by the pink colour of this brightly bottled cocktail, it’s more citrus punch than sweet sensation. With a blend of grapefruit soda, finger lime and yuzu citrus, it also features a splash of non-alcoholic tequila to give it that slight agave scent you’d expect from a Paloma.

7. Nort Refreshing Ale

Nort’s mission when creating their Refreshing Ale was to make a beer with more flavour and more freedom. Just one sip of their brew and you’ll realise they’ve completely pulled it off. Somehow they’ve created a beer with zero alcohol (and only 49 calories) that’s super palatable and flavourful. Mouthfeel is crucial to enjoying a beer – nobody wants to drink a thin watery mess – and that’s where Nort have excelled, getting the richness just right. When you drink this you know you’re drinking a beer.

8. The Hills Cider Company Virgin Apple Cider

Supporting Australian farmers is at the heart of The Hills Cider Company by sourcing only the very best 100% fresh, real, Australian-grown fruit for their ciders. That fruit comes alive in their Virgin Apple Cider where the absence of alcohol focuses the spotlight solely on the fruit-forward flavour. This is the good stuff and the good stuff only – no added concentrate, flavours, sugars or water. Plus it’s gluten free and vegan friendly. Bright and sweet without being sickly, it’s a refreshing winner for any cider fan.

9. Naked Life Non-Alcoholic Cocktail Yuzu Sake

There’s no denying that the zesty, umami flavour of yuzu is having a moment right now. And while the Japanese citrus is popping up everywhere, few people are using it as well as Naked Life. They’ve respected the fruit’s origins and paired it with sake flavours to create a non-alcoholic sparkling cocktail that’s somewhere between a seltzer and a highball. The cherry on top? It’s also low in sugar and low calorie.

* “zero%*” means zero% alcohol, which we define as containing not more than 0.5% ABV.
