Enjoy the perfect summer cocktail for anyone, any day, any time.

About the cocktail

  • Sure, an ocean shade of turquoise is the colour of summer, but how about the vibrant orange hue of a Zero%* Aperitif Spritz? It screams (or serenades) the Euro sun we fantasise about and this version is for anyone, any day, any time.
  • Leading with a zesty flavour and a rhubarb tang, the award-winning Lyre's Non Alcoholic Italian Spritz delivers on all the bittersweet characteristics classic to the aperitif. When topped up with the effervescence of non-alcoholic prosecco and a splash of soda water, you’ll be transported to the original Aperol Spritz, and hopefully the Italian Riviera, too.
  • Not just a pretty face, aperitifs are also practical. These bittersweet pre-meal drinks are also sipped for their appetite stimulation, so use this snacking moment and serve it alongside Sicilian green olives, cured meats and taralli biscuits. You know, to stay on theme. Saluti!

Ingredients

  • 60ml non-alcoholic aperitif

  • 90ml non-alcoholic sparkling wine
  • 30ml soda water
  • Garnish: orange slice and green olive

Method

  1. Fill a large wine glass with ice
  2. Add all ingredients to the wine glass
  3. Stir with a long spoon and garnish with orange wedge and green olive

Dan’s top tip

  • The nibbles aren’t there to just sit next to your glass; you’re putting one in your drink, too. A salty olive brings the right briney backbone to this drink, but if you're lacking (or the bowl is already empty), try topping with a sprig of mint, thyme or basil, or simply leave the orange slice to do the talking. It is an orange drink, afterall.
  • In the name of Zero%* alcohol cocktails, bring different shades of summer into your repertoire and try a Zero%* Margarita, Frozen Non-Alcoholic Piña Colada or the Non Alcoholic Passionfruit Mojito
