Pornstar Martini cocktail recipe

The Pornstar Martini is hot. “It’s the number one cocktail in the world right now,” says Jessica Nguyen, home cook and expert entertainer. Like so many cheekily named cocktails before it (Sex on The Beach and Hanky Panky among them), it’s a fun drink that’s having a real moment. “It has two elements: the first, a martini glass of passionfruit, vodka and vanilla syrup; the second, a side of Champagne, prosecco or any sparkling wine. The sparkling cuts through the sweetness of the Martini and makes it really fun to drink,” says Jessica.

If you love a Classic Martini, this isn’t going to float your boat. But if you prefer a sweet and fruity riff, like the French Martini, then this zesty twist could become your new go-to party drink. Pornstar Martinis are best mixed one or two at a time, so they’re ideal to share with your VIPs on special occasions. “Think of the Pornstar Martini like a really expensive serum,” says Jessica. Serve it up to kick off those evenings when you’re wearing your sparkliest shoes and plan to dance all night.

What’s with the glasses in the freezer? “All cocktails are better when cold,” Jessica says. If you’re planning to make these for a crowd, be sure to pick up a bag of ice so you have plenty to shake with, and also chill the glasses before pouring – a quick stint in the freezer makes all the difference. 

And what about that little serve of sparkling wine on the side? It’s there to balance the tang from the passionfruit in the cocktail, so sip on the bubbles after you take a sip or two of the cocktail. That means you’ll want to choose a style of sparkling wine that you like best. If you’re not sure, we think prosecco is an especially crisp and refreshing palate cleanser that will do the job nicely.
