CurtisLimited Series McLaren Vale Shiraz 2020
About this product
It is gloriously fruited and inviting on the nose showing blackberry, spiced plum, vanilla, smoked game and pepper spice aromas, followed by a concentrated palate that is powerfully graceful. The wine is expansive and mouthfilling with delectable flavours and polished tannins. Super tasty. At its best now to 2027.

60yo wines, hand-picked and sorted, crushed and destemmed, 14 days on skins, basket-pressed direct to new French hogsheads for 18 months maturation. Interesting use of a screwcap for this wine, and Diam for its siblings. The estate vineyard, the alcohol and the vinification are the same for all three, the major difference being the three vintages and length of time in new oak. This wine is full-bodied by normal standards, but has sufficiently good balance to justify the use of the word elegant.
